Building Modern Docs-as-Code Workflows with MkDocs Material
A practical documentation engineering project focused on learning and implementing modern docs-as-code workflows using MkDocs Material, Markdown, Mermaid diagrams, GitHub Pages, and structured documentation practices.
The documentation also explains broader documentation ecosystem concepts such as docs-as-code, DITA, enterprise documentation platforms, MkDocs vs Docusaurus comparisons, and how lightweight documentation frameworks differ from enterprise authoring solutions like MadCap Flare. The goal of the project was not only to build a documentation website, but also to understand the architecture, workflows, and tooling behind modern documentation engineering practices.
Instead of following only the ideal setup process, the documentation intentionally captures real troubleshooting scenarios, workflow decisions, environment setup issues, and practical implementation steps from a beginner’s perspective.
API Documentation Portfolio
A sample API documentation portal created to showcase my technical writing skills, API documentation approach, and hands-on experience with modern documentation tools and developer documentation workflows.

The project demonstrates structured REST API documentation for CRUD operations, authentication, request and response handling, status codes, error management, and multi-language code samples using the Swagger Petstore API as the reference implementation. The documentation site was built using MkDocs and the Material theme to reflect a real-world developer documentation experience.
